Description

This is the second HDR photo I have done. I came home from work and grabbed my camera, walked out to the lake and started shooting. Was shot in RAW.

The first thing I notice are the beautiful colors and the crystal clear reflection in the water which have been captured. There are however dozens of pictures of sunsets and it is quite hard to do so in an original manner. One way you can distinguish your sunset from the others is by using a creative subject beside the sunset. There are of course plenty of other ways to do this.
Then another quite noticeable feature of the image is that the horizon is not horizontal. It isn't exaggerated either, which makes it seem as a technical flaw. The horizon is in the middle of the image and the reflection of the sky reaches the bottom of the image which gives it great depth. It really makes me squeeze my eyes and try to define what I see on the horizon. This makes the picture engaging despite of the lack of technique and originality.
